Busurata Road Urgent Repair Project Successfully Reached Final Destination (Busurata Village)

The urgent road repair project along the Busurata road, Central Kwara’ae, Malaita Province, has finally reached its final destination.
The project, funded by the Member of Parliament for Central Kwara’ae Constituency, Hon. Ricky Fuo’o, and his constituency office, began in mid-December last year. However, due to bad weather, progress was slow until recently when the work was successfully reached its final destination last week.

The Busurata road Maintenance Project was carried out by Exodus Trade Development Limited ( TTC) a local construction company based in Auki. The road repairs were much needed after years of neglect, which made the road impassable and affected the daily lives of residents, farmers, and traders who rely on the road to access markets and services.
Busurata youth, Job Rongo’au, who is currently working in Australia, shared his excitement on Facebook, saying, “Busurata emergency road project reached its final destination.” He praised Hon. Ricky Fuo’o for his genuine leadership and dedication to helping his people.
Chief Samson Tabiolo, who lives along the Busurata road, also thanked Hon. Fuo’o for his support in upgrading the road. He said the improved road condition will help market vendors reach Auki market on time with their root crops and vegetables.
Truck driver representative, Francis Lulu, expressed his gratitude for the smooth road, which now makes it easier for them to travel between Auki and their villages. “I am thrilled to see Hon. Fuo’o fulfilling his campaign promises. His dedication proves he is the right leader for Central Kwara’ae Constituency,” Lulu told Malaita Issues.

Central Kwara’ae Constituency Development Officer, Kevin Fuo’o, acknowledged the support from the Ministry of Rural Development (MRD) through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). “We are thankful for the MRD’s support, which allowed us to address this critical road infrastructure,” he said.
The successful completion of this project has brought relief and joy to the people and travelling truck passengers in that area.
