CEMA ACKNOWLEDGES FARMERS AND LEADERSHIP IN WARD 16 MALAITA PROVINCE.

The Commodity Export Marketing Authority (CEMA) wishes to acknowledge the outstanding efforts of cocoa farmers in Ward 16, East Kwara’ae, whose commitment to quality production is driving real economic impact on the ground. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Hon. Preston Billy Junior, Member for Ward 16, for his visionary leadership and close collaboration with CEMA.
Hon Priston Billy who is currently the Member of Assembly for Ward 16 East Malaita, is currently supporting his farmers with materials, including net wires for air drying and drums, as his ward 16 development project supports facilitating cocoa buying operations, which have now opened new market opportunities for local farmers.
Just yesterday, 150 bags of premium cocoa beans were sent to Honiara under this partnership, a powerful indication of what can be achieved when leaders and communities work together.
The statement concludes, today, millions of dollars are circulating within Ward 16, a direct result of this locally led, farmer-driven initiative. To our farmers: keep producing, keep believing. Your hard work is fueling transformation in our rural economy. CEMA remains committed to working with you to ensure reliable markets, better prices, and greater prosperity for all. Together, we are revitalizing our commodity sector, one ward at a time.
