Central Kwara'ae Constituency to support Busufo'osae School with IT Computer lab.
Hon. Ricky Fuo'o, the Member of Parliament for Central Kwara'ae Constituency, is currently on a two-week tour of his constituency. On Friday last week he visited Busufo'osae School and the surrounding communities along the Kwaimanafu River, engaging with his people and assessing their needs.
In a statement to Malaita Issues, Hon. Fuo'o emphasized the importance of reconnecting with his constituents to understand the pressing issues they face. "Serving as the Member of Parliament for my Constituency, itβs time I made this vital visit to engage directly with the people who entrusted me with this mandate," he stated.
During his visit to Busufo'osae School, he met with church leaders, chiefs, teachers, and students from nearby communities.
The journey to the along the Kwaimanfu river was challenging, involving a trek along rocky paths and river crossings. However, the MP underscored that it is his duty to connect with constituents, adding, "This visit signifies my commitment to actively listen to the concerns of my constituents."
Hon. Fuo'o announced that his constituency office will provide funding for the establishment of an internet lab at Busufo'osae School, which will include computers, a Starlink dish, and a generator to power the IT lab. "I firmly believe in the transformative power of education, and it remains a top priority in my development plan for our constituency," he said. "Our goal is to ensure that as many students as possible have access to modern technology, which is crucial in today's educational landscape."
John Kala, Chairman of Busufo'osae School, expressed gratitude on behalf of the school and surrounding communities for the MP's visit and support. He remarked, "This is the first time a Member of Parliament has visited our remote community during his term, highlighting the importance of this engagement. Today we are proud to say that we now have a leader who prioritizes us, and we are thankful that our constituency will fund internet equipment for our school students and teachers."
On Saturday last week Hon Fuoo and his team visited Aisalinga School and the Surrounding communities and continued On Monday afternoon at Maoro Communities.
