First Shipment of Road Machines for the Auki Road Tar Sealing Arrived in Auki Toady.

On November 24, 2024, a significant milestone was achieved with the signing of the Implementation Agreement for the China-aid Auki Road Project. The agreement was formalized by Chinese Ambassador H.E. Cai Weiming, Minister of Infrastructure Development Hon. Manasseh Maelanga, and Premier of Malaita Province Hon. Elijah Asilaua

On 24 November, the Implementation Agreement of the China-aid #AukiRoad Project in Malaita Province was signed by Chinese ambassador H.E. Cai Weiming, Minister of Infrastructure Development, Hon. Manasseh Maelanga and Premier of Malaita Province, Hon. Elijah Asilaua.

The signing marks the beginning of a collaborative effort between the People's Republic of China and the Malaita Provincial Government to enhance infrastructure development in Malaita. Ambassador Cai Weiming expressed optimism about the partnership, stating that China looks forward to working closely with the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Malaita Province to ensure the successful implementation of the project.

CCECC road machines land at Auki wharf

In a demonstration of commitment to the project, the first load of machinery has already arrived in Auki Malaita Province signaling that construction is set to commence shortly.
