Four Road Projects Signed for Malaita Province

AUKI – Four important road improvement contracts for Malaita Province were signed today in Auki. The projects are funded by the Australian Government through the National Transport Fund (NTF).

The contracts include:

1. Busurata Road Repairs in Central Kwara’ae – awarded to Exodus Trade Development.
2. Maoa (West Kwaio) to Hauhui (West Are’are) Road Repairs – awarded to Trades Transformation Company.
3. North East Malaita Road Repairs – awarded to FT Construction.
4. Kwaibala to Oibola Tar Sealing – awarded to Trades Transformation Company.

Alongside these road works, the signing of a contract for the new Malu’u Market also took place. This project was awarded to Exodus Trade Development.

The event marks another step forward in improving transport and market facilities in Malaita. Officials thanked the Australian Government, the Malaita Provincial Government, and all partners for supporting the projects.

These developments are expected to make travel easier, boost economic activities, and improve services for communities across Malaita.
