Hon. Claudius Tei'ifi Appointed Chairman of Bina Harbour Tuna Processing Project Sub Committee.

Member of Parliament for West Kwaio Constituency Hon. Claudius Tei'ifi, has been officially appointed yesterday 18th March 2025 as the Chairman of the Bina Harbour Tuna Processing Project Sub Committee of the Cabinet. His role as a chairman will focus on managing and implementing the GNUT Flagship Policy related to the Bina Harbour Project.

As Chairman, Hon. Tei'ifi will have several important responsibilities. He will ensure that the Terms of Reference for the Committee are followed, call and chair meetings, and make sure that the Committee meets at least once every month. He is also tasked with ensuring that the reports produced by the Committee are of high quality and submitted to the Cabinet through the Prime Minister in a timely manner.

In addition, Hon. Tei'ifi will regularly update the Prime Minister on the Committee's progress, manage any potential conflicts of interest among members, and provide strategic direction for the successful implementation of the Bina Harbour Tuna Processing Project. He will also work with the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources to encourage cooperation among local communities, government agencies, investors, and other stakeholders. Regular updates on the project's success will be provided to the Cabinet.

This appointment is a milestone for the Bina Harbour Project, with GNUT's ongoing commitment to its successful implementation of the project
