Malaita Youth Council Opens New Youth Hub in Auki

Today, the Malaita Provincial Youth Council (MPYC) officially opened a new Youth Hub in Auki, offering young people in Malaita access to free internet and computers for research and online activities. This Youth Hub was established through a partnership between the Malaita Provincial Youth Council and MalaiTolo, which has been the main supporter behind the initiative.

During the opening ceremony this morning, MPYC President Phillip Subu expressed his gratitude to MalaiTolo for their support in creating this valuable resource for Malaita's youth. “This Youth Hub will empower our young people with essential resources and support, helping them to build skills and knowledge,” Subu stated.

The event was attended by key representatives from the Malaita

Provincial Government, including Provincial Secretary Erick George and the Provincial Youth Coordinator, Frank Samosari, who showed their ongoing support for the Malaita Provincial Youth Council.

This Youth Hub is the first of its kind in Malaita and is made possible through the support of MalaiTolo. Additionally, a permanent Youth Hub is set to be built soon in Auki, funded by the Solomon Islands Government.
