Mandalua Secondary School Received New Satellite Dish Donation From Max Lazarus.

Mbaelelea North Malaita – Mandalua Secondary School held a handing over ceremony yesterday to celebrate the installation of a new Kacific satellite dish, which will enhance internet access for both students and teachers at the school The satellite dish was donated by a young leader Max Lazarus who hail from Mandalua community.
Max, who owns a Kava business in Honiara called South Pacific Kava, took the initiative to donate the satellite dish after winning it from Kacific Broadband Satellite Group. During the handing-over ceremony, he shared that many of his friends encouraged him to sell the dish, but he chose to keep it for educational purposes instead. “I thought of how it will benefit the students in my community in Mandalua,” he stated.

He emphasized the urgent need for internet connectivity at the school, saying, “I know that our school really needs better internet access to help students and teachers with their assignments and research.” Max urged everyone at the school to take good care of the satellite dish, ensuring it can provide lasting benefits for future students.
Eden Sanga, the Chairman of Mandalua Secondary School, expressed heartfelt gratitude during the ceremony. “Today marks a milestone for our school, and this generous donation is something we never expected,” he remarked. On behalf of parents, students, and teachers, he thanked Max for his timely support.
Eden also highlighted the importance of the satellite dish as the school plans to expand to form six in the near future. “This internet connectivity is a vital requirement that will assist our growth,” he concluded.
