Nasi Land Resources Conservation Foundation to Host NASI Mini Cultural Festival

The Nasi Land Resources Conservation Foundation (NLRCF), a community-based conservation initiative established three years ago, is set to host the NASI Mini Cultural Festival on December 10-11, 2024. The festival will take place in the picturesque Waiparapara community, nestled alongside the renowned Wairaha River.

With the theme “Voice of Nasi Language, Arts, and Identity,” the festival promises to showcase the rich culture and heritage of the Nasi Tribe. Attendees can look forward to vibrant displays of arts, language, and traditions that uniquely define this close-knit community.

Located just a 45-minute boat ride from Kiu Port and an hour's trek through the bush from Hauhui, the NLRCF was founded on March 11, 2021, by members of the Nasi tribal community. The upcoming festival is anticipated to be a celebration of identity and heritage, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of the Nasi people.
