Su’u Harbour FC Crowned Champions of West Kwaio Soccer Tournament

𝐈𝐍 𝐖𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐊𝐖𝐀𝐈𝐎 , Su’u Harbour FC emerged as the champions of the West Kwaio Soccer Tournament, which took place from December 17th to December 21st, 2023. The tournament was sponsored by Hon. Colodio Teifi, the Member of Parliament for the West Kwaio Constituency, and hosted at Foubaba School in Ward 27.

A total of 21 teams from the three wards in the West Kwaio Region participated in this exciting event. In a thrilling final on Saturday, Su’u Harbour FC triumphed over Kwisi FC to claim the championship title. Meanwhile, Baunani FC secured third place by defeating Bina FC in the losers' final.

The West Kwaio Constituency offered cash prizes, with the first-place winner receiving a trophy and $4,000, second place earning $3,000, third place $2,000, and fourth place $1,000. Additionally, a netball competition was organized for women, showcasing a broader range of talent within the community.

Bobby Siarana, the Constituency Development Officer, expressed gratitude to all participants for their skills and sportsmanship throughout the week-long event. He extended Christmas greetings to all teams that participated, encouraging them to return stronger next year. Siarana confirmed that the West Kwaio Tournament 2025 will be hosted in Buma, Ward 28, promising more excitement and competition in the future.
