Malaita Eagles Arrive in Honiara for Solomon Cup

The 25-man squad of the Malaita Eagles, including six team officials, has safely arrived in Honiara this morning aboard the Auki Express, ready to defend their title in the upcoming Solomon Cup football tournament.
The team, led by Team Manager Walter Maesugea and Head Coach Terry Oiaka, is filled with fierce determination, unity, and purpose as they prepare to compete as the reigning champions of the nation’s top provincial football competition.
The Eagles are placed in Pool A, alongside Temotu Arrows, Renbel Province, Guadalcanal Hornets, and Central Shield. Their opening match is scheduled for Monday at 3:00 PM at Lawson Tama Stadium, where they will take on Central Shield.
Malaita provincial leaders, friends, and supporters are being encouraged to continue backing the team with donations of food, drinking water, and bedding. Such support is expected to play a key role in maintaining the team’s morale and comfort during their stay in Honiara.
The Malaita Eagles are hopeful to once again soar high and bring pride to the province.
