Malaita (March 11, 2025) – The High Commissioner inspected the completed North Road (17km), East Road (21km), and Bio1, Bio2, and Koa Bridges under the Solomon Islands Roads and Aviation Project (SIRAP), enhancing transport safety and connectivity. In Auki, he also visited CAUSE project sites, where community-driven upgrades like footpaths, drainage, and public spaces are improving urban services. He met with Malaita Premier, Hon. Elijah Asilaua, to discuss future infrastructure collaborations.

Munda & Noro (March 17-18, 2025) – The visit continued with a tour of Munda Airport's upgraded facilities under SIRAP and discussions on SIRAP2’s ongoing road network improvements in Noro. The High Commissioner also reviewed CAUSE project achievements, which have created jobs for local youth & women while maintaining essential public infrastructure.

"It’s inspiring to see how SIRAP, SIRAP2, and CAUSE are not only improving infrastructure but also creating economic opportunities and strengthening communities," said H.E. Paul Turner.
